Where to Celebrate Lunar New Year 2016 in New York City

The city will host a number of events in the coming weeks to celebrate Lunar New Year on Feb. 8. From the annual Firecracker Ceremony in Chinatown to the parade through Flushing, DNAinfo New York has rounded up a list of places to ring in the Year of the Monkey. a-o "Madison Street to Madison Avenue" Celebration When: Feb. 6, 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Where: Madison Avenue from 54th Street to 77th Street, Midtown and Upper East Side This event will host a number of activities along Madison Avenue from Midtown to the Upper East Side, including lion dancers and a dragon, musical performances, face painting and more.
