It's known as LES and it's the up-and-coming New York neighbourhood. Or should I say "up and came"? Because the gentrification of Manhattan's Lower East Side has been so rapid in the past few years that it would be unrecognisable to the European immigrants who colonised its tenements in the 19th century.
