Talking Pictures: Ellen Burstyn shines in forgotten gem "Alice"

Every so often you come across an overlooked American film that for some reason time has chosen to bury and audiences have forgotten. At the 1975 Academy Awards, that film was up against "Chinatown," "Lenny," and Cassavetes' "A Woman Under the Influence" among others, so it's easy to see now how those great films potentially overshadowed it.
