About 50 demonstrators gathered Saturday afternoon on Central Avenue to show support for Peter Liang, a former New York Police Department officer convicted of manslaughter following the 2014 shooting death of Akai Gurley, an unarmed man in Brooklyn. The Chinese community in Boise will rally Saturday, Feb 20, in support of former NY police officer Peter Liang.
